Gajapati reviews Jagmohan repair work of Jagannath temple Puri

Puri Gajapati Maharaja Dibyasingha Deb reviewed the ongoing repair work of Jagamohan at century old Jagannath temple in Puri.

He emphasized on completion of repair work before upcoming Mahasnana Yatra of trinity this year.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI), which is carrying out the repair work at the shrine, has removed a layer of stones from north-east and north-west direction of the Jagamohan.

As the second layer stones are in good condition, the steel portal box frame can be placed on it, said ASI Director Conservation RS Jamuel.

Following the feedback of the ASI, Gajapati visited the temple to assess the repair work.
